On 25th to 27th September,2023, the "National Polyethylene Catalyst Technology Conference" was held in Jiuquan, Gansu Province by Shanghai Leader Catalyst Co. More than 100 representatives from more than 40 research institutes and enterprises of polyolefin industry chain attended the conference.

Wang Tao, Executive Deputy General Manager of SINOPEC Catalyst and Chairman of Shanghai Leader, delivered a welcome speech. Wang Tao said that SINOPEC Catalyst, as a platform for the transformation of SINOPEC's scientific and technological achievements, has the most complete range of catalysts in the whole industrial chain and has become the largest catalyst enterprise in Asia and the second largest in the world. Cai Xiangjun, the director and general manager of Shanghai Leader, made a report with the title of “Joining Hands the Industrial Chain, Promoting the Development of Localization and Innovation with the Power of 'Chips'”. He introduced the important role of Shanghai Leader Company in the development of the polyolefin industry from three aspects: continuously promoting the localization of industry capabilities with an unchanged original intention, achieving the quality of technical capabilities centered on customer needs, and achieving high-quality modernization with the core of industry development, which fully demonstrates the important role of Shanghai Leader in the development process of polyolefin industry.

Experts from the Chemistry Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and 13 representatives of users made special reports on the R&D and application of catalysts, the development of new polyolefin products and special materials, and the future industrial development. The reports comprehensively analyzed the application of different brand products of Shanghai Leader.

During the conference, the representatives conducted in-depth discussions on catalyst R&D and application, essential performance indicators, process plant operation and other hot issues, exchanged new technologies, new products and new techniques, explored new concepts and new directions for the future development of the polyolefin industry, and drew a new blueprint for the high-quality development of the polyolefin industry.
